[the weather today is |tired]

I'm poking my head above the parapet to tell you all to wave at Saturn on Thursday. My spacecraft commands you.

If you're in Britain you will be wanting to wave at around 10:30 PM on Friday. If you're on the west coast of the USA, you will be wanting wave at around 2:30 PM on Friday. If you're in Australia, you will be wanting wave at around 7:30 AM on Saturday.

omg that is hysterical. i love the description:
“Cassini's image of Earth will be just 1.5 pixels wide, with the illuminated part of Earth less than a pixel, so the resulting mosaic will not actually show people or the continents. But if you are on the sunlit side of Earth at the time – North America and part of the Atlantic Ocean -- you are in the picture”

Hey hey, don't be mocking Cassini's imaging system. One megapixel was a lot in 1996. :P
