Tough Cat Is Tough

Telstar acquired an ear nick a couple of weeks ago and has been insufferably smug* ever since, but this is the first chance I've had to document it. Tough Cat Iz Tuff. His scar, let me show you it.

* Not that this is all that distinguishable from his usual state of "unbearably smug". He is, after all, a cat.

Smug cat in a sunspot. Life does get better, but not legally.

Luckily for him, 'nip is legal. It's just not fair.

No idea. It's possible it was a rat, as they left us a rather large one on the lawn the same evening. I think it's more likely that it was from scrapping with another cat, as there are a few in the neighbourhood. I trust it's been taught its place now (e.g. not in our garden).

He is! Both the boys spend a lot of time grooming, so their coats are in top condition.

He is blagging it. He could easily have done that to himself during a vigorous ear scritch ;) Don't be fooled.

I am slightly ashamed to admit that I've heard nearly all of those before.

I'm even more ashamed to admit that my favourite one that I haven't heard is "There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data..."

My favourite is "your mother's so fat, her patronus is a cake."
