Kittens on the web [20101226|18:45]

Happy Boxing Day! I have been lazing around eating lots of chocolate and drinking wine. For Christmas, I received the following:

  • 8 books (3 Folio editions)
  • 4 packages of Haribo
  • 1 bottle of very nice bourbon

As well as the traditional expensive unmentionables from the bloke. I am therefore happy as a clam.

We brought the cats with us to the bloke's parents' place. I am unashamed to present to you a post consisting entirely of cat pictures.

Bloke & Sputnik

The stairs make me a little crazy

But only briefly

We plot nothing

Your face is dirty

So is yours

Had about enough of that - time for a fight

Sneak attack base no. 1

Sneak attack base no. 2

No, Sputnik, don't do it

Life is worth living, see?

THE END

And the kitties

The staircase is gorgeous. It's very wide and has a big semicircular landing.

The kitties are sleeker and leaner, but also gorgeous.

What books did you get? What did you give him?

And I'm not sure if the "traditional expensive unmentionables from the bloke" are more of a gift from him or for him!

Totally cute photos of the kitties! Hope they had a "Meowy" Christmas!

Oh, and I saw the new Cassini photos that were very impressive!

Ooh, too many to list. The three Folio editions were Lewis Carroll's Alice (Wonderland & Through The Looking Glass) with the Tenniel illustrations, a history of The Nude in art and a book on the evolution of The English Language.

The kitties are actually getting tired of too much Christmas meat. They didn't exactly turn up their noses at the ham today, but there was distinctly less enthusiasm.

They know it, too. My right arm is presently falling asleep because S is on it and being too cute for me to move him.

I thought they were huge now too. However, today we went over to one of the bloke's friends' place. They've just adopted two six-month-old pedigree British Shorthairs. These cats weight 4.6 and 4.8 kg and they're only half-grown. Ours are over a year old, full grown, and they're 4 kilos.

Love the cat photos -- I have just overdosed on cuddly catness! Your kitties remind me of my own (now departed) tuxedo cat, PuggsleyOne. Hope you had a great Christmas, and that the coming new year is your best ever! :-D

he he he

I seem to have a 5KG grey growth on my shoulder. He has barely shifted for days. When he does go out it isn't for long and he has developed a very very loud yowl which translates roughly as " LET ME IN NOW IM COOOOLLLLLDDDDD".

He would love that log burner.

I think our two are torn between love for the log burner and love for the gas fire. The log burner's a bit lower down so it's probably winning by a narrow margin.

I cannot believe those tiny kittens turned into these glossy gorgeous creatures. I always enjoy a peek into their world (and your lovely home).

I know! I'm always amazed at my sleek little orcas. Especially when they bring home squirrels and magpies. Ambitious.

Aw, thank you. They're longer and more robust, but still pretty svelte. I think it's all that racing up and down trees.
