I've been so busy all this week (and weekend) that I haven't even had time to procrastinate, let alone work on the photo I wanted to be 6/52, so I've defaulted to this one, though it wasn't intended to be part of the project.
6/52: Conjurer's Daughter
Tomorrow I have to go to France, by myself. I have to spend four days there, speaking French, by myself. I also have to give a science talk (in English, thankfully). I am so nervous that I packed this afternoon, while sober, a full 24 hours in advance. Dreadful stuff.
Give me the strength to leave my hotel room every morning. That's all I ask.
While I realize they are not part of your 52 project, I thought I'd comment on the photos. I like the extremes of light and dark in the first photo. I'd like to see more shadow though. I really like all the textures that come through in the second photo. And I adore your little tiny hat!
Thank you for the criticism - it really helps! The first photo is cropped, so I can easily include more of the shadowed region.
The tiny hat was ace. I found it at Claire's (of course), which was full of teenage girls already wearing tiny hats. They had the most fantastic outfits on. I remember being that age and having time to think about clothes that much, but I don't recall being that creative.
Cor, I failed to finish replying to all the comments to this post. Sorry about that! Thank you for the luck. I had to stay an extra day and a half (and I really didn't want to as I have masses of work to face on Monday) but I did my best to make the most of it.
