To deodorize or not to deodorize [20100617|18:32]

I’ve been wondering something for a while. Occasionally when I depart work, I apply deodorant. I do so at my desk because I work in a large office containing a few oblivious colleagues. No really, they’re oblivious. They might notice, once in a while, that I am a girl, when I wear a dress. I’d probably have to strip naked and do a can-can on my desk to get their attention otherwise. My point is, I don’t think my deodorant-application upsets anybody. But if I worked somewhere else, it might. What do you think?

Poll #1579756 Office etiquette

It is OK to apply deodorant at your desk.

Sure, fine.
Egads, no!

I can imagine this. I think I know exactly what would happen. My work colleagues would stare at me in a bemused way and then tentatively ask, "Aren't you getting cold?"
