[the weather today is |industrious]
[with a hint of |Velvet Acid Christ - Fun With Drugs]

I haven't done a garden update for a while. I feel I should point out that the irises around our pond are blooming.

Yellow Iris

Purple Iris

Red Geum Rivale

[personal profile] nanilas grow well in boggy soil

Telstar thinks spring is kind of itchy

Thank you. Me too. I just took those photos at the weekend and they're already dying. Short-lived glory!

So did all the flowers bloom at once? I remember you planted a ton of them, so that would be quite a sight to see!

And of course the prettiest flower is the nanila :)

And on a different topic, does the bloke share your tastes in music?

No no, these are the last of the bulbs to bloom. They came in cycles, so there's been a constant rotation of colour.

Thank you for the compliment! The bloke & I have overlapping but definitely not identical tastes in music. He doesn't care for most of the industrial/powernoise/ebm/experimental or "shouty-man music" that I like. Then again, I don't care much for some of the country/folk or "cats screwing music" that he likes. :-P

Thanks! I haven't had a haircut, aside from the occasional haphazard trim of split ends after a shower, in a year and a half, so it isn't the result of any deliberate styling.

I love the expression on Telstar's face. It's a great shot.

He really gets into his scritching. I love the way he pulls his chin up and squeezes his eyes shut. Very dramatic.

I've noticed that my screensaver folder of photos not-my-own have more & more titled, "Nanila's this-n-that" or "Nanila's Fabulous red curtains" or "Nanila's kitty-in-the-grass..." THANK YOU. I love seeing shots by my friends cycle through... :)

(And seriously, wot's they got in the water, there? You're *smokin'*, girl. M'just sayin'...) \o/

Ha! Thank you. I should note that my hair had just been washed before taking this photo. Normally it's floofier and messier.

I dunno if it's what's in the water. Er...I haven't drunk caffeine in two months? :-P

I think you'd like our garden. We're trying to make it a balance between wild and formal (leaning towards wild).

Ooh, I keep forgetting to mention that I made a raised herb patch! It's got mint and lemon balm and sorrel and thyme and sage and chamomile and chives and more.

You'll need to treat us to pictures of that too!
