Beauty spent

The bloke likes to bring me cut flowers every now and then. While I appreciate the gesture, I feel a little bad that, though I take photos of them when they come into bloom, my favourite time is the point at which they're ready for the compost heap.

I love melting ice cream. Whenever I got a scoop as a child, I used to swirl it around with my spoon until it was like soup and then eat it.

The deep, velvet reds against the faded out yellow of the door hardware...gorgeous. Of course you already know my feelings towards dead & dying flowers & blooms... :)

Thank you. I have the feeling if we pooled our respective dead flower photo collection, we could probably fill up a terabyte of drive space in no time. :-D

Early afternoon is when we have the best light in the kitchen.

I most like the excellent door hand and frame, and the perfectly balanced light.

Thank you. The door is fantastic, isn't it? When we got the front door replaced, the salesmen tried to talk us into replacing the huge, heavy wonderful back door, and we said NO WAY.
