Endearing. [20070313|12:51]
Mad Scientess Jane Expat
I saw a woman with tousled blonde hair and a sleepy expression on the bus this morning wearing the following:

  • White knee-length denim skirt
  • Sheer nude stockings
  • Tan Ugg boots
  • Sleeveless black puff jacket with bright red, blue and yellow horizontal stripes across the back
  • Pink and black fingerless gloves

The clothes were all faded and worn and gave off a child-like aura of I'm-going-to-wear-my-all-my-favorite-things-I-don't-care-if-they-don't-match. It was a dreadful outfit, and I loved her for it.

You have to come back while you're in the UK!

With the tousled hair, it almost sounds like a "walk of shame" although I suppose in this case it would be a "ride of shame", but that sounds really bad.

I <3 the walk of shame.

I love seeing people having morning-after-the-first-night-they've-slept-together breakfasts in cafes. Almost as much as I like being one of them. >:D

London is a great place (iyswim) for this sort of occurrence. You can often see people who either surprise, shock, or amuse by their clothes and style.

I love people watching, given a cup of coffee and a suitable perch, you'll often spot someone of note. Sometimes you wish you had a camera, but possibly the reality wouldn't adequately reflect the image a suitably illuminative description provides.

When we eat out, the Monsta and I often choose to eat side by side looking out a window if there are window-benches available. It's purely so that we can people watch.
