Took the word right out of my mouth.
I want to use it as a background on my computer right now! If that's ok....? I metadata'd it with your LJ name.
Sorry for not getting back to you right away. I've walked over half of the Loop (70+ miles) in the past week and a half and I'm pretty exhausted. I don't mind if you use it as a background. Also, thank you.
It's still really spectacular.
oh my goodness, the light...the colours.
It's extra-huge when you're walking across the marshlands out east near the Thames!
That is lovely! I love the way the colors fade and blend.
Thank you. I'm getting better with the tools at my disposal, I think.
Gorgeous colors. With the right light, even an industrial area can seem beautiful.
That whole area by the Thames is bizarre. It's a combination of marshland and wildlife preserve, grassed-over landfills, junkyards, farms (Shetland ponies, wtf!) and factories.
Oooh pony farms. Maybe that's to cover up the smell of the landfills?
Amazing colours!! My Dad would argue that you should remove the jet trails, but photo club photos are too meticulous and fussy for me!
Ha! I stood there WAITING for the jet trails to be in the right place for this. It's an industrial park.
That'll show the purists! Hooray!
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "alter." I'm guessing that you're asking whether the sky was really violet, and the answer is no, it wasn't. I applied filters to the original image. :-) Also, thanks!
WOW! Is that completely sans post-production? That's amazing, especially how you waited for the trails to form.
Since I don't have a panoramic camera, it's not possible for me to take this kind of image without post-production.
