Saluting the sun

I stayed home today. I walked 30 miles, or one fifth, of the Loop this week. I'm hoping to cover half by next Friday, and at least four fifths before the trip to Edinburgh. Since all my muscles have turned into jelly, I thought it prudent to take a couple of days off before continuing, though. I also ran out of hard drive space on my laptop, as I'm taking at least a gig of images a day. I'm slowly uploading my favorites to Flickr as I process them. I thought the burnt-in edge effect suited it rather well. The other from today's processing efforts is a high-contrast b/w.

Gorgeous. I like the composition. It feels like I'm falling headlong into a summer sky.

Thank you. I'm glad it's not obvious that it was freezing in that field. The wind was blowing so hard it made my eyes stream.

They were whizzing past overhead because of the wind, but some of the shape is due to the distortion from the wide angle setting. I liked it, though, so I didn't correct for it.

More more more! (Billy Idol eat your heart out :D). Great photos, but more please.
Btw talking of Hard-disc space and laptops, I bought a portable hard-disc the other day, it's 80gig and roughly the size of a sunglasses case (ok, perhaps a tad bigger, but not much more). It's great for photo storage (well any storage really :D), especially when the old Laptop gets full up (and it doesn't need a powersupply if you use USB).

Have fun mate.

Ooh, now that's a clever idea. Thank you. I'm adding that to my want list.
