Stolen Moments #2

sparklepbass knows how to turn back time. Even with GTA: Vice City lurking behind her.

What a warm feeling picture. I like the glow of the lamp, and that chair looks damn comfy.

You picked the things I was hoping would stand out. Thank you.

I'm so glad you like it and I'm grateful that you're willing to indulge my perfectionist side and sit again. :-)

I think we have a similar aesthetic, so this makes me very happy. Thank you.

The mild sepia toning is a nice touch. It adds to the general sense of well-being in the shot.

That's the idea behind the series, so I'm glad to hear it. Thank you.

Even with GTA: Vice City lurking behind her.

Shaun of the Dead, on the other hand, reminds me of my old grand-aunt from Pottstown.

The different tonal values of the yarn/table lend the scene a nice balance by echoing the values of her shirt/the piece she's working on/the chair.

Why, was she a cockacidal maniac?

Thank you. I really want to re-shoot this as I had to crop out more than I would have liked of the original to come up with this framing of the scene. Also, I ended up liking the ones where the lamp was lit best and I didn't take enough of them. Fortunately, sparklepbass has agreed to sit for me again.

Verra nice. If you closed in some shadows around her, it'd be like a post-modern Rembrandt.

Hm, I tried a few lighting effects on this before I posted it, but I ended up liking it the way it is. I'll experiment some more. Thanks!

Yay! That was the idea. We're going to re-shoot next week to iron out a couple of kinks in the composition, which are entirely my fault and not the model's. ;-)
