i <33333333 your camera so much.
If you would ever like to go on a photo expedition with me and practice with it, let me know. Once I get a tripod, indoor shooting without a flash will be easier too. Photo expeditions inside the flat, whee!
that would be really lovely! as long as i can get over my negative feelings toward photo expeditions and camera lessons... eee.
wow, i love your camera...its so flattering!
ooo and yes please to a copy of them!
email address is email@example.com
Which ones would you like? I ask because they are quite big (around 1.5-2 MB each) so assuming your inbox has message size limits I may have to send more than one e-mail.
umm the ones with me and matthew if thats ok?
They're sent! Let me know if they don't come through.
i got them, thankyou so much!
it is, and miss na-ni-la, as i've said you have a great eye.
impix, i don't know you, but god, i love the haircut.
next time i go have mine chopped i'd like to print this pic and ask for the same one.
okay with you guys?
thats fine with me...but if you want the cut just grab some scissors and hack away infront of the mirror...thats what ive been doing for years!
I don't mind either. I'm not sure, but I think she cuts capitalflash
's hair as well as her own.
Your dog was so much cuter than ours...
I think your dog was probably more traditional, though.
Kung Hei Fat Choi/Gong Xi Fa Cai/Happy Chinese New Year!
May you have good fortune this year (and many Lai Si/Hong Bao envelopes) :)
It is interesting to now be part of the giving side of the family, rather then the receiving. Although Jasmine, will sure get some on her one month anniversary.
Happy New Year, Proud Dad! (And family, too, of course.)
We can't wait to meet Jasmine. Marco will probably be going to the States in late February or March. He's planning to take an extra week to visit people in SD so we hope he can see you and Jade and baby.
also, please may i be vain and ask for any with me and/or mary in? my mailbox has no real limit and automatically downloads, so size isn't really a problem :)
They've been sent. I hope you enjoy them.
It looks like such a fun time. Would have enjoyed being a fly on the wall...hanging around and giggling, occasionally futzing w/ folks' hair :)
I'm afraid you mightn't be able to futz with the hair. They're all carefully sculpted works of art, you see.
Rats. I'd suggest 'nibbling on earlobes?', but as I'd still be a fly, that might be ucky.
It's amazing how you can get such clear shots. Even if I have my camera steady, I can't get people to be still long enough.
Continuous auto-focus helps. So does upping the ISO (although I don't like to go over 400 because of noise). But mostly people weren't moving around too much. Except for the occasional motion of arms, bringing pint to lips.
Fun! BTW, I love impix's hair. I've been trying to accomplish that tossled shaggy look for years and still haven't figured how to do it.
Hm, your hair isn't very wavy naturally, though, is it. I believe hers is, and she also bleaches/dyes it, which changes the texture as well as the depth of color and makes it have more body. You might be able to "roughen" your hair a bit by lightening the top layer?
I was thinking the same thing. My hair doesn't do wave well, but it was unexpectedly obedient when I had it bleached. Hem, your hair doesn't look very bleached yet... ;) I've had unexpectedly good results by having my hair at very different lengths, but I'm also thinking that maybe it's time to admit defeat and go for a new hair style.
Hem, your hair doesn't look very bleached yet... ;)
I know. I keep meaning to do it, but for me, that means a trip to the hairdresser. I don't trust myself to bleach my own hair. And I keep finding other things on which to spend my money.

Bottom left is a good argument for unposed photography.
Thanks. I didn't put these up thinking that they were great photographs, although taken together, I think they convey the atmosphere and energy of the evening pretty well. Except for that one, which I do think is pretty good.
