Ireland travelogue, part four [20050909|08:41]

This is the final installment.

Day 12: Derry to Gleann Cholm Cille
Day 13: Gleann
Day 14: Back to Galway
Day 15: Galway to Dublin, deflating

If you think I short-changed Dublin on my last day (and I admit I feel that way myself, despite remembering how exhausted I was by that point), let me remind you that I was there with Marco in January and did a pretty thorough tour then.

Bringing it all together: part one, part two and part three.

One more pimp: becala has put up galleries of her images on her site.

I also must express much gratitude and love for grumpkins and becala, without whom I wouldn't have made this journey and whose company enriched the experience immeasurably. Thank you both so much.

Lastly, an image from becala's galleries:

I think the day12 to day15 links have something wrong with them.

That would have been the missing URLs. Thanks! Fixed.

Hehe, me too.

I loved your South Africa journals. Perhaps one day you and I will go traveling together. I think that would be awesome.

Wow, thank you so much for setting aside the time to read them.

It really was an effort to make myself get through all fifteen days, even with all my notes and paper diary and things to help me. If you ever do write up your travels, be prepared for it to take a lot longer than you might initially assume. :-P

It's weird, since 2.5 weeks out of a lifetime isn't very long, but I kinda miss you.

Visit your parents soon. I won't be able to afford to take off work for the better part of a year, probably, so that is our only option.

Yeah, I keep talking and thinking about you and Kegan, and kinda feeling baffled when I shuffle into the kitchen in the morning and you're not there.

They want me to come over in the spring, so I'm going to try and swing that in April.

That beer cave feels like home.

It was damn difficult to move once you got yourself ensconced in the pillows. Given a stack of books and a steady flow of Guinness, I would probably never leave.

Pillows and beer, together in a cave?

You've just described my retirement!
