[Tags|, , , ]

I've filtered and resized all of the digital pictures I took in Prague. I've organized the galleries by day, so you can click on each of the three images below to view Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 respectively. They're all titled and captioned; if anything is unclear, please let me know.

Becca's flight was delayed until Friday, so she ended up going back to the hostel. She discovered that almost everyone we had only seen in passing either thought we were sisters, or that we were the same person.

I wanted to take the benches home with me. So awesome!

That showgirl cow is demanding to be an icon.

Oh man. If only I currently had the inclination to any photo manipulation whatsoever, I'd do it. As it is, after 222 pictures (just finished going through the Lomo stuff), I'm about ready to claw out my eyes.

Oh, wasn't meant to demand of you. I can do it, given your permission. ;)

I don't know. I didn't touch it. I was too cold to take my hands out of my gloves, like, ever.

Yes. It was difficult to remember to look at the beauty and not just record it. I ended up taking my camera battery out a lot, partly to preserve the battery life and partly to keep myself from constantly photographing everything.

You should see us together in person. Fraoigh was behind us at one point. Apparently we were swinging our little bags of chocolate and walking in unison with our nearly identical parkas. She said it was one of the funniest things she'd ever seen.

Oooh. Beware, the Hostel Elf, he's more than he seems.

The light on shot 12 was perfect. Thanks for sharing these.

Did I remember to link to the Hostel Elf web site? I don't think I did. (Beware the hypnotic power of the rotating Hostel Elf.)

Shot 12? Was that the fish sculpture? I ask because I am trying to learn a bit more about taking decent photographs, so it's nice to know when I'm doing something right. :-P

Oooh, rotating Hostel Elf. Unfortunately, with this graphic, he's lost some of his hold over me. The Hostel Elf sign gives his elfin hat a kind of sombrero effect. I expect him to say "Hostels, we don't need no stinking hostels." But in a rotating, fashion, of course.

Hmm, now you've out snarked me and you've been to Prauge. Damn you. I meant to convey that I tore through 30 photographs of Prague with wild abandon.

It being Monday, all I could come up with in return was a bland compliment to cover my own dark thoughts on the subject of one photo. The angel (?) in the niche (?) from the Vysehrad cemetery photo appealed to me. The way the light fell across the statue's body, but her face remained in shadow seemed appropriate after having done a senior thesis on hagiography. "Her body was pure and light, but her mind a mystery to us all. Let's put her in the cemetery..." This may not be the prevailing attitude in Prauge, but I wish I'd had that shot for my presentation.

DOH. Monday really has hit me hard.

The comment was about the 12th photograph in the 3rd set of photos.

Sorry.

The Palach Memorial is just beautiful. I really like the shot in the metro station and the weeping angel as well.

I love train stations. I took a bunch of shots of Camden Road station yesterday because I went to Kew Gardens. I want to get a really nice digital SLR, just so I can take cool pictures of train stations. Maybe I should take up trainspotting for my next job. :-P
