Base ingredient hot, accompaniment cold (example: hot apple pie and cold ice cream)
Base ingredient cold, accompaniment hot (example: cold fruit and hot chocolate sauce/fondue)
All cold (example: big bowl of sorbet)
All hot (example: sticky toffee pudding and custard)
