I will say, though, that Mort Subite kriek is the only beer I've ever tried that gave me a potential understanding of why people drink beer. I still wouldn't say I liked it (if memory serves, I bailed out of it about a third of the way through and gave it to someone else), but at least it didn't make me want to vomit immediately, which was a first.

Incidentally, that beer happened at Belgo Centraal, one of my favourite restaurants ever.

Probably it was the lack of hops. The fruit gives the flavour instead of hops, which is in most other beers. Certainly that's part of why I like it.

Belgo! I haven't been there in ages. So good.
