|Friday's Unscientific Poll: Gardener's World
Mad Scientess Jane Expat
Just so you know, there really is only one correct answer to this question.
What is the best thing about the TV programme
The gardening tips
Monty Don's dog
Ok, my mobile app doesn't like polls. But probably option 2, then option 1. I'm just not that bothered about the dogs, unlike everyone else in Britain apparently!
But in any case, The Beechgrove Garden is the better show :)!
Yes, I strongly suspect you are indeed in the minority! :D
I've never watched The Beechgrove Garden but will definitely have a look at it when I'm in need of some peaceful television (which is pretty much always).
I have taken this poll on behalf of my mum. I haven't watched GW since Geoff Hamilton was in charge... But my mum tells me every couple of weeks that I should watch it and that the dog is the best thing!
The dog *is* the best thing. He doesn't do a lot apart from sit with his nose on his paws looking soulful, and plodding determinedly along behind Monty Don. But somehow that is immensely appealing.
I don't even watch Gardeners World, but voting for Monty Don's dog was too good a chance to pass up :)
I don't usually watch it purposefully, but it's often the most soothing option out of a range of dire choices on live television. :D
PS Welcome back to LJ!
Live television - now there's something I haven't heard of for a long time... (also, great to be back)
