cxcvi requested a non-sculpture-trail photo of Bristol. I took this when Keiki and I went there for the day for one of the last weekends of my maternity leave. It's a view of the ruined Saint Peter's Church in Castle Park, near Cabot Circus shopping centre (where we parked). I love the symmetrical lines of the modern sculpture contrasted with the Norman/medieval solidity of the stone edifice behind it.
Its Bristol, its can't be something that simple... try fossilised dinosaur poo as a symbol of our connection with the protracted ages of the development (and our treatment) of this planet coated in quilted cotton representing the organic ideals of the citizens, an appreciation of rural craft and a desire for comfort in all aspects of life.
Ohhh I feel faint after such an emotional moment pass me an organic single estate decaf single shot latte in a reusable fairtrade receptacle.
Not least because on this trip I stopped to have an organic single estate macchiato at Small Street Cafe. I also ate a coconut-infused halloumi and rocket sandwich on toasted organic brown bread with Thai chilli mayo. (I have to confess, it tasted pretty awesome.)
