[the weather today is |frivolous]

This morning, I received an e-mail from a restaurant about a "Christmas Bokking", prompting visions of my fellow lab denizens and myself turning up for our meal dressed as chickens.

Later, someone on my telecon uttered the following words in all seriousness: "So wait, is this the problem we were having with time going backward?"

Poll #1989706 Chickens v Time

Which is better?

Christmas bokking
11(64.7%)
Time going backward
6(35.3%)

What about both at the same time?

Isn't there an episode of "Red Dwarf" like that?

I can completely understand that comment coming up on a telecon. Nothing odd about that at all when talking about space hardware doing odd things with clocks.

Maybe I'm too highly trained...

You've nailed it. The space hardware context entirely explains/justifies that quote. :D

Time going backward because I feel old... wait am I getting younger as well or staying the same?

Sadly the whole time-going-backward thing in practical terms is restricted to space hardware clocks and the glitches only last mere fractions of a second...

I just finally watched the video for "Chick Chick" and was greatly amused that she makes bokking sounds in the song. I think there should be more songs sung as though you were a chicken. I couldn't help but think that the Cee Lo song was greatly improved when it was sung by Gonzo's chicken chorus in that Muppet Movie!

Oh yes, I agree. I like it when Gonzo's chicken orchestra does classical music.
