My parents brought along some old photos of me as an infant in Hawai'i for their recent visit. I’ve just scanned them all in and thought I’d share a few of the black-and-whites (colour in the next post).
This is me, aged one day, asleep in my crib at Kapiolani hospital. I was born by c-section.
Here I am with my great-grandmother. Sadly this is the only time I was to meet her as she lived in the Philippines & died when I was still too young to remember her. I don't know much about her, except that she smoked roll-up cigarettes all her life, with the lit end in her mouth.
Check out mah gums.
My first tub bath, aged 10 days. I look nonplussed.
Me and my daddy after my bath.
Me and my grandma. I think I'm about four weeks old here.
Me in my stroller. Look at that thing. Can you imagine it meeting any of today’s safety standards? Yeah, neither can I.
In conclusion, my daughter is a more attractive infant than I was. Next time: colour!
