[the weather today is |tired]

I used up all my words on work this week, sorry. Here is a happy-making photo.

Ice lollies and paddling pool

Eating ice lollies by the paddling pool. Or in the paddling pool, in Keiki's case!

ETA: I have remembered a pleasant anecdote I wanted to record. On our way back from our trip to the States, Keiki and I had to wait in Heathrow Terminal 5 for about an hour before our bus was due to depart. So we made our way to the Costa coffee to get some breakfast. One section of the seating area was pretty quiet, so I let him out of his high chair to bibble around. He wove in and out of the seats and tables, and we played hide and seek. Just as we were gathering up our things to go to the bus stop, a woman approached me. "My husband and I have been watching you for a bit, and we just wanted to say, you're such a lovely mum." It was such a kind thing to say. Especially to someone who'd just spent 10 hours on a plane ensuring her son caused minimal disturbance to the other passengers. ♥

I am afraid some of us are not genetically predisposed to tanning. ;)

Keiki might well end up being the brownest of the ones that are not me - he appears to have inherited a generous dose of melanin!

I had to sit and think for a bit before I could remember the USian word. "Lollipop, no, that's not right...uh...um...oh! Popsicle."

Yes, yes they are. Each of the fruit layers has the preceding flavour running through the middle. So good!
